WindSpider and Seaway7 have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore a potential strategic collaboration aimed at delivering innovative and competitive wind turbine generator (WTG) installation solutions to the offshore wind market.

The partnership will focus on developing next-generation solutions for offshore WTG installation without water depth limitations, combining:

🔹 WindSpider’s innovative turbine integration and lifting technology
🔹 Seaway7’s industry-leading installation assets and execution capabilities across both floating and bottom-fixed projects

Seaway7, part of the Subsea7 Group, is a global leader in the delivery of offshore wind projects, supporting developers worldwide to bring sustainable renewable energy to the world.

WindSpider develops and commercializes advanced lifting solutions for the installation, maintenance, component replacement, and decommissioning of wind turbines — both offshore and onshore.

“We are excited to collaborate with one of the world’s leading marine operators and to jointly explore new opportunities while contributing to the continued advancement of the offshore wind industry” – says Kent Lynggaard Vinkel, the CEO of WindSpider.

About WindSpider

WindSpider is offering an innovative lifting solution for installation and major component replacement of wind turbines, onshore and offshore. The self-erecting solution, which uses the turbine tower as support, has several attractive features, including eliminating relative motion between crane and wind turbine, no turbine weight or height restrictions, compatibility with floating vessels and barges, and good operability at windy sites. With an effective lifting capacity of +1500 metric tons (installation system), WindSpider solves some of the biggest issues in the wind industry and is prepared for the next generations of wind turbines at a substantially lower cost.
